Membership to Royal Canadian Legion is open to everyone and it is FREE in 2026 to all new members!
To sign up online:
Visit the Royal Canadian Legion website to begin the application process. Make sure to select Branch 05-372, Russell, Ontario when selecting your branch.

To sign up in person:
Please complete this Membership Application and bring to the Branch during opening hours.

Membership FAQs
I have no affiliation with the military. Can I still join the Legion?
Yes. Any Canadian or citizen of an Allied nation 18 years of age or older can join. You don’t have to be a Veteran to support a Veteran. Everyone can help.
Why should I become a member?
Without its membership, the Legion cannot survive. We need and value our members at The Russell Legion, Branch 372. Your membership fees support the community, veterans and youth , along with the operation of the branch itself.
Are there perks to becoming a member?
Yes. As a member in good standing to Branch 05-372, you will:
Have priority registration to our sports leagues.
Be eligible for discounts with many of our local business partners.
Receive a discount for hall rentals.
Be the first to know about Branch events and Information through our opt-in/out monthly newsletter.
Be eligible to sign up for MemberPerks through the national Royal Canadian Legion website
Be notified of annual education bursaries.
Receive a subscription to the Legion Magazine - online or paper copy.
Be eligible to participate in Legion-sanctioned events held periodically throughout the year.
Be able to visit most other Legions across Canada with your membership.
Help Veterans and their families through your membership fees.
Be part of a welcoming community!
