Welcome to
the Russell Legion Branch 372 website!
Welcome to
the Long-Twiname-Henderson Memorial, Branch #372, Russell, Ontario
The Royal Canadian Legion is a non-profit, community-based organization whose
mandate is to promote remembrance and bring help to veterans in need. One of our
many activities throughout the year is the Remembrance Day ceremonies. The
Russell Branch coordinates and supports the ceremonies held in five neighbouring
towns (Casselman, Vars, Limoges, Embrun, and Russell) every year. These are also
the towns where we are most active in supporting the area’s veterans of the
Second World War, Korea, and our new veterans (Service veterans, United Nations
Peacekeeper Vets, NATO Vets, Afghanistan War Vets).
A fairly recent addition to our activities list is the
NASCAR competitions. You
are most welcome to come out and join us for a fun Sunday afternoon at the races
on either of our two Giant Screen televisions. This activity and others are
listed on the entertainment and Sports page of this website.
If you would like to know more about our history, check out our “About our
Branch” page. Planning a party or a special occasion amongst friends and family?
Go to our “Banquet Facilities” page for prices and availability information.
Feel like visiting our members and see what we’re all about for yourself? Come
enjoy our recently renovated Omer St. Martin Lower Lounge and have a chat with
the members who are there. Who knows... maybe you’ll become a member some day
and have a say in how you would like to see your Branch evolve!
Though this website is still a work in progress, we hope that you will enjoy our
website and come visit with us regularly to see our updates and add-ons.
